I am currently working at Active Ride Shop
it is a smaller skate, surf shop that has guys brands such as Obey, RVCA, Krew, etc.
and girls product from some of my favorite brands such as; Timing, Milkyway, Audrey, etc.
as of today, we are one of the few stores in all OC to sell the TOMS for toddlers and kids.
this is a huge deal! because of this, we are having an art show on March 12; the event is called Milk & Cookies.
yes, milk & cookies will be offered throughout the afternoon.
we also are showcasing art work done by children.
for those of you who don't know about TOMS here is a little bit of background,
it all started with a guy named Blake.
he traveled to faraway places and during his travels to Argentina he befriended some children and found they had no shoes to protect their feet.
as a result he created TOMS, a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of shoes for a child in need.
the TOMS sell like crazy in our store location;
we have always offered women's and men's TOMS but this will be new having Tiny TOMS.
anyway; whats so great about the event is that children can come and decorate their own TOMS. this will obviously require the purchase of a pair, leading to a kids to kids exchange.
